Bravehope Partners was founded by Vanessa Besack, former executive director of a non-profit that provided vocational services and day programming to individuals throughout Southern California. During her tenure, Vanessa was responsible for the launch of new programs that allowed individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve their goals and live life more independently.
Since 2019, Vanessa has participated in advocacy efforts both in Sacramento and Washington D.C. and created consumer advocacy groups that taught individuals and their families how to become self-advocates and tell their story in public.
Vanessa realized that Federal mandates requiring services be provided in an integrated community setting would significantly change the trajectory of services needed and felt that Self-Determination could fill that gap. Through Bravehope Partners, she helps individuals with developmental disabilities realize their hopes and dreams through a person-centered approach. She is an advocate, cheerleader and friend to her clients and their families.
As a former service provider, she also works with other regional center vendors to help launch innovative programs that meet the needs of their clients and that can bring additional sources of revenue.
