Bravehope Partners was founded by Vanessa Besack, a passionate advocate, visionary leader, and former Executive Director of a nonprofit organization that served individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Southern California.
During her time in that role, Vanessa launched innovative programs that empowered individuals to set meaningful goals, gain life and vocational skills, and live with greater independence and dignity. She saw firsthand what was possible when services were personalized, strengths-based, and deeply rooted in community inclusion.
In 2019, Vanessa expanded her impact as an advocate—traveling to Sacramento and Washington, D.C. to push for disability rights and policy change. She also created consumer advocacy groups to help individuals and families learn how to tell their stories, speak up, and lead with confidence.
As federal mandates began shifting service delivery toward more integrated, community-based models, Vanessa recognized a critical gap—and a powerful opportunity. The Self-Determination Program (SDP) offered individuals the chance to direct their own lives and services like never before. Vanessa knew that Bravehope Partners could help make that promise a reality. With faith, grit, and deep respect for every individual’s voice, Bravehope Partners was born.
Today, Vanessa continues to walk alongside individuals and families as a facilitator, guide, and advocate—supporting them as they build lives filled with purpose, connection, and hope.
As a former service provider, she also coaches other vendors and agencies on launching innovative programs that meet regional center needs and unlock new sources of sustainable revenue—creating a ripple effect of inclusion and impact.
